Welcome to Media and Disinformation, the first online course on disinformation and media literacy in the region!
The aim of this online course is to bring students closer to understanding the dynamics surrounding media and the spread of disinformation. Throughout the course, you will learn and discover basic terminology and concepts, but also, on concrete examples, it will show you how the spread of disinformation and misinformation affects the lives of individuals as well as entire societies. Moreover, the last section is full of practical tips on how to spot and stop the spread of disinformation on the internet.
By the end of this course, you should have a clearer picture of what disinformation, misinformation, and their various forms mean for the online world, and what impact they might have on society. We also hope you will be able to assess the online content more critically while familiarised with various techniques and tools that will help you during your everyday life on the internet.
We hope you will enjoy it!
